Ed Baker

"Awaken a vision, make a dream happen", says Chippewa/Cree native artist "Cree Spirit" a.k.a. Ed Baker explains his creations. Cree Spirit is an enrolled member of the Chippewa/Cree Nation of Belcourt, ND and Rocky Boy, MT.

He was born in 1963, the oldest of 9 children, and raised in many parts of the west to include Montana, North Dakota, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon, however always coming home to Montana.

Cree Spirit is a self taught artist who learned and continuingly perfects the art of pen and pencil. He creates pen and pencil, paintings, frames, pendleton bags, Native American replicas and weapons.

He has won many awards with his talents in a variety of shows through out the country.
